You may recognize Gerber as the perpetrator of such awesomeness as Howard the Duck, Omega the Unknown, Nevada, or The Defenders. He was a guy who believed that comics could be serious and meaningful, and yet he insistently found the funny in everything.
He was working on DC's Countdown to Mystery, revamping Dr. Fate with a sidestory on Eclipso.Your works will live on, guys, and that makes you alive in my eyes.
